Hall 12 of Ningbo International Trade and Exhibition Center sits on the last piece land in the core area of Ningbo Eastern New Town. It has attracted much attention since the beginning of the proposal solicitation. The design scheme d creates a modern conference and exhibition complex integrating elements of “sail” theme. It will not only provide a city name card to strengthen the image of Ningbo as an international exhibition capital, but it will also act a cultural symbol to inherit history and culture and carry forward the city spirit.

On the premise of meeting the requirements of functional area, the spatial layout of three towers seems to be the most appropriate choice. On the one hand, it can make the overall space feel more open and comfortable; on the other hand, the multi-stories conference center volume as a podium is highlighted.White sails shaped curtain wall of the main towers are tilted up in the air, their vertical fluid lines form the white sails of the mast and ropes, they are light and strong, giving the impression of holding up the sails, building a sense of the dynamic of vigorous growth. At night, the built-in LED lights of the white fluid lines change and vary colors over time, enlighten Ningbo night-time cityscape.
