Neo-Gothic architecture can get on your nerves after two millennia. We gave the church needed revisit. Designed on a waterfront, the Zhangjiagang church just epitomizes “pristine”. The holy trinity is reinforced by the three structures/buildings within the church grounds. The program is divided in these three volumes, having the church in the biggest one, then a small chapel in the middle and finally the seminary. The three buildings are joined on the outside by a pergola, having a space of reunion in between them.
